2. Greenbrier Valley Theatre
Located in Lewisburg, WV, The Greenbrier Valley Theatre started like WVPT did – in a tent! For 52 years, the Greenbrier Valley Theatre has been bringing arts and entertainment to southern West Virginia.
3. Children’s Theatre of Charleston
Since its start in 1932, this theatre company has been bringing theatre education and art to families. In 1961, the Children’s Theatre of Charleston was named as the “Official West Virginia Children’s Theatre” by Governor W.W. Barron.
4. Contemporary American Theater Festival
The Contemporary American Theater Festival is an annual theatre festival that takes place at Shepherd University. It was started in 1991 as a festival for new plays by American playwrights.
